Literature, it turns out, is a popular way of dealing with the incredible heatwave currently sweeping the country. While Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine is still flying off the shelves, other, perhaps more surprising books have also seen a rise in interest.
A customer looking for Susan Hill's The Travelling Bag felt that the cold and misty streets of England past could provide some much-needed escapism, and A Gentleman in Moscow is another common choice for those seeking a break from all this sun. They're not quite what I would call seasonal reads but seem to be receiving a boost from the season nonetheless!
